Brownies from Good Eats

I love Good Eats the cooking show.  I have since I was a little kid.
So a few weeks ago I tried out his brownies recipe and was amazed.  These are by far the best brownies I have ever made, maybe the best I have ever tasted.

They are very chocolaty, so much so that if you are not a huge chocolate lover, I would recommend replacing a bit of the cocoa powder in the recipe with flour.  They are moist, fudgy, and chewy and almost black in color.

And with ice cream they are like manna from the gods.

So the other day I made a double batch and decorated it with cream cheese frosting to look like Old Glory for a fourth of July party. It was a huge success.
